The Textile Innovation Fund (TIF) invests risk bearing equity capital in innovative companies in the textile sector. Textile is more than a piece of fabric or a well-cut suit. TIF invests in companies with textile as fundament for innovation. From fiber technologies to software, recycling and e-commerce to design and wearables. But also innovative production techniques which make textile production more efficient or sustainable. TIF is looking for innovation in a wide spectrum, but specifically within the textile sector.
TIF focuses on companies in the Benelux, but does not exclude the rest of the world. Innovation is not bound to limits and that is exactly what TIF stands for. TIF is looking for entrepreneurs who are visionaries, able to spot opportunities. The base of their entrepreneurship should always be common sense, but driven by the pursuit of new developments, taking the textile sector into its new digital era, sustainable solutions, ready for mass customization, etcetera.
The minimum capital contribution by TIF is 500 thousand euros up to possibly several million euros. TIF provides growth capital: money to facilitate the growth and acceleration of companies. The target group consists of enterprises with proven technological and / or commercial track record. Knowledge, network and capital is what TIF has to offer. This means that a start-up does not qualify, but as soon as the company grows to ‘scale up’, TIF is the right place to be.
We always invest together with the founders and management of companies. They are responsible for the realization of growth and success on a daily basis. TIF has a supporting role. The companies in the fund benefit from each other’s experiences and expertise. TIF currently manages 5 million, which can possibly be expanded with other partners. BB Capital Investments from The Hague is responsible for fund management and the first point of contact for companies in the Textile Innovation Fund.
